What Is Emotional Leadership?

Emotional Leadership is referred to as the ability to recognize, evaluate and regulate your own emotions, emotions of those around you and groups of people.

What is Agility? 

Agility is the ability to be quick and graceful. Business agility is the "ability of a business system to rapidly respond to change by adapting its initial stable configuration". ... In a business context, agility is the ability of an organization to; rapidly adapt to market, cultural and environmental changes; development of new industry-changing technologies or sudden shifts in overall market conditions.


Emotional Leadership in The workplace

An emotionally-intelligent leader embodies and sets the tone of an organization, while sustaining a healthy and inclusive company culture.

Emotional intelligence is commonly referenced by these attributes:

  1. Self-awareness – You recognize your own emotions and how they affect your thoughts and behavior. You know your strengths and weaknesses, and have self-confidence.

  2. Self-management – You’re able to control impulsive feelings and behaviors, manage your emotions in healthy ways, take initiative, follow through on commitments, and adapt to changing circumstances.

  3. Social awareness – You can understand the emotions, needs, and concerns of other people, pick up on emotional cues, feel comfortable socially, and recognize the power dynamics in a group or organization.

  4. Relationship management -Empathy and Transparency is key when knowing how to develop and maintain good relationships, creating a company culture that thrives and conflict resolution.

Make your relationships count.

1.   Emotional self-awareness – the ability to identify your own emotions in the moment and throughout the day.

2.  Manage your emotions- having the ability to control your emotions during a conflict or argument.

3.  Commitment- to navigate your negative thoughts or situations into positive ones.

4.  Empathy- the  most important ability ( in my opinion) is to recognize the other persons emotions in a situation with compassion and real understanding.
